Associate Pastor of Worship & Outreach (APWO)

Location: Paris, Kentucky

Position Overview: The Associate Pastor of Worship & Outreach will lead and manage worship and outreach efforts at Central Baptist Church. Reporting to the Senior Pastor and overseen by the Deacon Body, the APWO will drive the strategic development, coordination, and administration of music and outreach programs, guiding staff and volunteers to achieve impactful results.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior
  • Adherence to the Baptist Faith & Message (2000)
  • Degree in Church Music, Music Education, or similar; Seminary preferred
  • Proven experience in dynamic worship leadership
  • Proficiency in vocal and/or instrumental music
  • Passion for outreach
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-oriented skills

Key Responsibilities:

Worship Leadership:

  • Plan and lead spiritually enriching worship services aligned with church vision
  • Collaborate with pastoral staff on worship themes and creative elements
  • Select and arrange music for services; direct and support worship teams
  • Recruit, train, and develop musicians and vocalists
  • Manage music resources, budgets, and equipment
  • Foster creativity and innovation in worship music

Technology:

  • Oversee sound/video/lighting staff and church equipment maintenance
  • Enhance CBC’s social media presence with quality content

Outreach:

  • Develop and lead effective outreach ministry
  • Equip members for outreach, and manage visitation ministry
  • Plan and lead at least 6 major outreach events annually

Administrative:

  • Submit annual budget requests
  • Provide timely bulletin information
  • Collaborate with committees and leaders
  • Network with other ministers at conventions
