DWIGHT WHITWORTH

Dubbed a “unicorn” in ministry, Dwight Whitworth has served in nearly every church leadership role—worship pastor, student pastor, associate pastor, and senior pastor—in churches ranging from 150 to over 6,000 members. His rare, well-rounded experience allows him to understand the unique challenges and dynamics of churches of all sizes and styles, from traditional to contemporary.

Mentored by Dr. David Randlett of Liberty University, the pioneer of both traditional and contemporary church music programs, Dwight has spent his life answering God’s call and equipping churches for success. Today, he is sought after nationwide to counsel churches on bringing in new staff, training worship and tech teams, strengthening staff unity, and creating motivated, effective ministry teams.

One of the strengths that Matt brings is a heart and a passion for impacting the local church and the people who have been called to work in it, to achieve at a high level the goals and visions they have. In his role as COO, he combines that with DWCs’ intentionality with the process of pairing and finding the right fit (Eph. 4:16) for the gear that is missing at your church.

Matts’s experience working with titans in ministry as a Worship Pastor gives him a unique perspective when working with churches. Matt has been a featured speaker and clinician at worship/pastoral staff workshops and national conferences

Matt also brings extensive corporate experience to DWC having served as a high-level Sales and Marketing Executive, he impacts DWC and the churches we consult with strategies that maximize their outreach.

He has led music teams in multiple worship styles from traditional to contemporary, leading small music teams as well as directing large-scale seasonal productions with choirs, orchestras, and drama, ministry tours with those teams, and live recordings. In addition to his work with A/V and tech teams, He also possesses knowledge and expertise in the design and installation of new construction of A/V in auditoriums and worship facilities. Matt has a gift to build programs of all sizes. He is a builder, not just a sustainer. Without Vision, the people perish. And Vision without actions is a daydream. He understands ministry, and his track record proves that. That is the mentality and mindset He brings to the team at DWC.

Kathy received her Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She spent much of her Sales and Marketing career working with Ministers of Music across the country, representing music and publishing companies and specializing in choral print music. Kathy was Director of Sales for Prism Music, Vice President of Publishing for Diadem Music Group and was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Brentwood Benson Music publishing.

Kathy is the founder of Access Management and spent five years managing Christian Artists and speakers; working with the marketing for the Left Behind movie series and managing the music tours promoting the soundtracks to the movies.

In 2007, Kathy accepted a position as a Regional Recruiter with Select Medical, the largest provider of outpatient services in the country and a company of 50,000 employees. In 2019 Kathy accepted a position as Director of Talent Acquisition at Confluent Health; creating, developing and hiring their national recruiting team.

After 15 years in secular recruiting, Kathy returned to her roots in ministry and joined Celebration Ministry Staffing where she has been their COO for the past 2 ½ years.
