How WE

If you want to know anything about DWC, the best place to start is here. Everything we do is founded in Ephesians 4:16.

“From whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

EPHESIANS 4:16, NKJV

DWIGHT WHITWORTH

PRESIDENT & ChIEF CONSULTANT

“For years, I was troubled that churches had limited resources to help them find staff members. There were a few organizations that offered church staffing services, but they just received resumes and vetted candidates on a very clinical basis without knowing the specific personality of the church and never personally meeting with the candidates they recommended. That is what drove me to provide that resource churches need.”

– Dwight Whitworth

“ One of the things I really love about Dwight Whitworth is the way he can come up with a unique solution to a seemingly impossible problem. He is a creative, intelligent and trustworthy leader. I have grown to respect Dwight, who has, no matter the size of the church, devoted his time, energy and manpower to that churches success. DWC is built around a calling from God not a business model, and I believe this is made all the difference.”
Ricky Hilton, Worship Pastor

“Experience brings wisdom… and Dwight Whitworth has plenty of both. His message is concise. compelling and contagious.”
Derrick Johnson, producer, writer, arranger

“Dwight Whitworth is among the most gifted, creative, and versatile men I have met. In addition, he is a people person, a servant leader, and an accomplished consultant. With a unique depth of experience, Dwight speaks with clarity and conviction as a leader of leaders.”
Dr. Stephen Cutchins, Senior Pastor

MAtt Whitworth

Worship Pastor Division

Chief Operating Officer

TN

One of the strengths that Matt brings is a heart and a passion for impacting the local church and the people who have been called to work in it, to achieve at a high level the goals and visions they have. In his role as COO, he combines that with DWCs’ intentionality with the process of pairing and finding the right fit (Eph. 4:16) for the gear that is missing at your church.

Matts’s experience working with titans in ministry as a Worship Pastor gives him a unique perspective when working with churches. Matt has been a featured speaker and clinician at worship/pastoral staff workshops and national conferences

Matt also brings extensive corporate experience to DWC having served as a high-level Sales and Marketing Executive, he impacts DWC and the churches we consult with strategies that maximize their outreach.

He has led music teams in multiple worship styles from traditional to contemporary, leading small music teams as well as directing large-scale seasonal productions with choirs, orchestras, and drama, ministry tours with those teams, and live recordings. In addition to his work with A/V and tech teams, He also possesses knowledge and expertise in the design and installation of new construction of A/V in auditoriums and worship facilities. Matt has a gift to build programs of all sizes. He is a builder, not just a sustainer. Without Vision, the people perish. And Vision without actions is a daydream. He understands ministry, and his track record proves that. That is the mentality and mindset He brings to the team at DWC.

Jean Thomason is the live embodiment of the joyful children’s character, “Miss PattyCake.” (www.misspattycake.com) Her overarching call to action is: “Whoever wants the next generation the MOST will get them.” The music and character of Miss PattyCake allow her to plant biblical truths, broken into musical toddler-size pieces while helping equip parents lay a spiritual foundation. In her book, “Sharing God’s Big Love with Little Lives,” Mrs. Thomason takes you on a tour of teaching and guiding young children about God’s love, as she describes it, “in a Deuteronomy 6:5-7 way – practically and organically, as you are living your normal busy life. It will give you fresh ideas, tools, and enthusiastic confidence as you share God’s BIG LOVE with little lives!”

Russell Mauldin

Counseling & Music Division

Consultant

TN

Russell graduated from Furman University in 1981 with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Theory and has gone on to become a prolific and best-selling composer in church music with millions of choral books sold on six continents. His work has earned him five Gospel Music Association Dove Awards. Russell has worked with such artists as the Gaither Vocal Band for 28 years and has orchestrated Inspirational film compositions earning him a Grammy nomination. He has published relevant choral music for Brentwood-Benson, Daywind, Lillenas, Praise Gathering (Bock), and Prism Music. Russell is a friend to the church and the church choir, never wavering in his calling to provide choral music that is accessible to choirs of any size.

For 28 years, Russell also served Christ Church Nashville in many volunteer capacities. He was on the Board of Directors for four terms, through both building projects and a long Lead Pastor transition. He served as a Missions Board member for 12 years and then as Missions Pastor for another two. He was Chairman of the HR Committee for three years during a staff restructuring and establishing of a new pastoral team. Besides writing some of the Christ Church Choir’s musical arrangements, he also served on the Music and Fine Arts Committee for six years.

On his 17th international mission trip in early 2014, Russell answered God’s call to additional ministry through pastoral shepherding. He was ordained in 2015 and has since completed a Master’s degree in Religion from Lee University and helped to plant a new church, launched in a portable setting in 2017. Russell became Associate Pastor at Seeds Church, a growing and flourishing interdenominational church that now has its own campus in Rockvale, TN. As Russell joins the DWC team, he is in the final stretch of completing a Doctoral program while becoming a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor from Jacksonville Theological Seminary.

He and his wife Janice have three grown children: Adam (wife Carmen), Caroline (husband Stephen), and Whitney. They also have four grandchildren under the age of three! They all live in the Nashville area and are a close-knit family.
For fun, (besides visiting those grandbabies!) Janice and Russell love to travel, explore fine dining, watch SEC football, and attend Tennessee Titans games together. Russell also enjoys watching and playing golf and claims to be the best golfer in his cul-de-sac!

Kevin Bond

Worship Pastor Division & media & technology division

master ADVISOR &
PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

GA

Kevin Bond is perhaps the finest producer in the gospel music industry today. In many circles, he has been dubbed “The Million Music Maker.” Few could argue with that assertion or his credentials, as his name and production credits have thoroughly permeated the most prominent gospel CD and cassette jackets over the past 20 years.

A native of Chicago, Illinois, Kevin arrived on the gospel music scene in 1983 when, as a 19-year-old prodigy he became the organist for the highly acclaimed Edwin Hawkins Music and Arts Seminar Mass Choir. Teaming with gospel pianist icon Richard Smallwood and a host of other gifted minstrels including guitarist Jonathan Dubose and drummer/bassist Joel Smith, Kevin formally introduced himself to the gospel nation on the 1984 EHMAS release, “Angels Will Be Singing.”
Proverbs 18:16 states, “A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men.” Kevin stepped securely into that promise during the years immediately subsequent to his inauguration into the gospel music industry. His fresh approach to music directing coupled with his ultra-clean, innovative, yet sophisticated piano technique won him favor with the renowned Walter and Edwin Hawkins and The Hawkins Family. Serving as music director and keyboardist for the Hawkins music umbrella afforded him the opportunity to hone his skills in a privileged yet challenging environment. That environment served as a major foundation for his ultimate musical destiny.
Well-established as a keyboardist and music director, Kevin began to exercise his production talents during the early 1990s. He collaborated with a number of artists, including Stephanie Mills, Donald Lawrence and The Tri-City Singers, The Kurt Carr Singers, and Trin-i-Tee 5:7, among others. His impeccable work with these artists proved him highly competent as a producer and firmly validated the “production” facet of his calling.
Kevin has experienced overwhelming success as a producer in recent years. His leadership and production expertise have been vital to the success of some of gospel music’s most recognizable artists, including Kirk Franklin, God’s Property, Donnie McClurkin, Yolanda Adams, Bishop T.D. Jakes and The Potter’s House Mass Choir, Marvin Sapp, and a host of others. He was even commissioned by Steven Spielberg to produce a song for the Prince of Egypt soundtrack. His works have garnered an astounding 10 Grammy Awards, 30 Stellar Awards, and numerous other awards.
Kevin currently serves as the Director of Worship and Arts at the Greater Travelers Rest Baptist Church in Decatur. under the pastorate of E. Dewey Smith, Jr. The 500-plus members of the music department are under Bond’s purview. Large tasks are not a challenge to Kevin at all. Prior to his new assignment, Kevin served as director of worship and arts at the New Birth Church in Lithonia, GA. In four years at the helm, he transformed the 600-member music department into a nationally recognized standard of excellence. His 2004 production of the 300-voice New Birth Total Praise Choir, entitled “Spirit and Truth,” garnered national acclaim, as it received multiple Grammy and Stellar nominations. In February 2006, the choir released its sophomore CD, “New Beginning,” which is again produced and written mostly by Kevin Bond.
Kevin also serves as CEO of his music production company, Bonded Music. He is also the founder of F.L.O.W. (Follow the Leading Of the Wind), a band of studio musicians he organized to educate and instruct up-and-coming artists. Additionally, upon request, he works as a worship and arts leadership training consultant for music departments across the country.
Kevin and his beautiful wife Toni reside in Atlanta, GA, with their children Alex III, Tayler Alexia, Kiara, and Phillip.
