Job Role: Worship Pastor

Location: Crescent Beach Baptist Church, St. Augustine, Florida

Position Overview: The Worship Pastor at Crescent Beach Baptist Church will lead and develop the worship ministry, creating a vibrant and spiritually enriching worship experience for the congregation. This role involves planning, coordinating, and leading worship services, while fostering a culture of worship that aligns with the church’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Worship Leadership:
   • Plan and lead weekly worship services, ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience that enhances the spiritual growth of the congregation.
   • Collaborate with the pastoral team to integrate worship with the church’s overall vision and sermon themes.
2. Team Development:
   • Recruit, train, and mentor worship team members, including musicians, vocalists, and volunteers.
   • Foster a positive and collaborative environment within the worship team, encouraging growth and unity.
3. Music and Media:
   • Select and prepare music that complements sermon messages and aligns with the church’s theology and worship style.
   • Oversee the technical aspects of worship services, including sound, lighting, and multimedia components.
4. Community Engagement:
   • Develop and implement worship-related events and activities that engage the congregation and the broader community.
   • Build relationships with members and visitors, ensuring that worship services meet the needs and expectations of the church body.
5. Administrative Duties:
   • Manage worship ministry budgets, schedules, and planning resources.
   • Coordinate with church staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operation and effective communication within the ministry.

Qualifications:

• Strong personal faith and alignment with the mission and values of Crescent Beach Baptist Church.
• Proven experience in worship leadership, including planning and leading worship services.
• Proficiency in music and technical aspects of worship, including sound and multimedia systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to recruit, train, and lead a diverse worship team.
• Effective organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
