Minister of Worship – Calvary Baptist Church (Arcadia, FL)

[Church Name] is seeking a Minister of Worship—a pastoral and creative leader who will shape the worship life of the church across Sunday gatherings, weekday services, and special events. This role provides oversight for music and creative elements while leading the congregation in meaningful, Christ-centered worship that reflects the church’s mission, values, and Statement of Faith.

Key Responsibilities

The Minister of Worship plans and leads music and worship elements for weekly and periodic services; incorporates creative components such as drama, video, special presentations, soloists, and guest musicians; and directs choral, ensemble, and congregational singing. This role leads and develops worship teams, supports and equips lay leaders, and identifies, recruits, and develops musical and creative talent from within the church. The Minister of Worship also plans and directs seasonal services (Christmas, Easter) and other special programming, supports conferences and guest-led events, and provides worship leadership for weddings, funerals, and other pastoral functions. As a member of the Church Council, this leader represents Worship Ministry in broader leadership and planning, collaborates with the Senior Pastor and staff on church-wide initiatives, and provides pastoral care through visitation, encouragement, counseling, and—when needed—preaching, teaching, or leading worship in additional settings.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a growing personal walk with Jesus Christ, a clear call to worship ministry, and a commitment to leading worship that is both spiritually authentic and marked by excellence. The ideal leader brings experience planning and leading worship services, developing volunteer teams, and coordinating music and creative elements in a local church context. Strong communication, collaboration, and shepherding instincts are essential, along with alignment with the church’s mission, values, and Statement of Faith.
