Worship & Creative Arts Pastor/Director – First Assembly of God (Rapid City, SD)

First Assembly of God is seeking a Worship & Creative Arts Pastor/Director—a Spirit-filled leader with a deep love for Jesus and the skills to lead worship and build a thriving worship, media, and production ministry. This role will help cultivate genuine, God-centered worship that is Holy Spirit sensitive, creating space for the Spirit to move while strengthening the systems and teams that support Sunday services and key ministry moments.

Key Responsibilities

The Worship & Creative Arts Pastor/Director plans and prepares weekly worship sets with prayerful, Holy Spirit-led intention; partners closely with the Lead Pastor to maintain clear vision and alignment; schedules worship, vocal, and production teams through Planning Center Online (typically 1–2 months out); oversees video announcements and creative media—leading volunteers and producing content for services, web, and in-building screens; ensures sound and production needs are met for services, events, and special environments (including equipment planning); creates and/or coordinates graphics for events, groups, and signage; supports special services through elements like worship videos and lighting/programming; develops teams through training, encouragement, follow-up, and team-building gatherings; encourages and guides students in Assemblies of God Fine Arts; and supports special events and seasonal ministries (including VBS) with music and production resources.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will demonstrate a born-again faith in Jesus Christ, a life of integrity, and a consistent devotional life rooted in Scripture and prayer; be Spirit-filled and sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit; be musically gifted and able to lead a worship band; bring an outgoing, people-first leadership style; have working proficiency with Planning Center Online and ProPresenter; be able to teach and develop worship music while encouraging and equipping children, youth, and adults for ministry; and hold a bachelor’s degree in music. Songwriting, recording, and collaborative creative development are a plus.
