Worship Pastor – Thomasville Road Baptist Church – Tallahassee, FL

The Opportunity
Thomasville Road Baptist Church is seeking a Worship Pastor to lead our church family in Christ-centered, Spirit-led worship. This role provides leadership for a well-established and flourishing worship ministry that includes a worship choir, orchestra, praise band, and an Academy of the Arts. We are looking for someone who can continue to develop and enrich a blended worship experience that reflects both traditional and contemporary expressions. The Worship Pastor will play a key role in shaping the worship culture of the church, equipping volunteers, and creating an atmosphere that honors God and engages the congregation.

Key Responsibilities
The Worship Pastor will plan and lead weekly worship services, direct the choir and orchestra, and oversee the worship team. They will collaborate closely with the Senior Pastor and ministry staff to ensure worship aligns with the mission and vision of the church. Additional responsibilities include:

• Recruiting, developing, and shepherding vocalists and instrumentalists

• Selecting biblically grounded and theologically sound music

• Leading rehearsals and coordinating special musical events or seasonal programs

• Fostering a culture of excellence, authenticity, and spiritual growth within the worship ministry

Qualifications
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

• A mature and growing personal faith in Jesus Christ

• A clear calling to worship ministry

• Experience leading blended worship (traditional and contemporary)

• Skill in both vocal and instrumental leadership

• The ability to lead, build, and inspire volunteer teams

• Alignment with the mission, vision, and doctrinal convictions of Thomasville Road Baptist Church
